Chris Baker
The Guv'nor
Chris Baker – Owner
Chris Baker has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing and PR in the dental sector. He has advised on and executed plans for many dentists on ways to expand their practices through a wide range of tools including branding, online strategy, social media marketing, PR, advertising, printed and promotional materials, events and strategic alliances. Chris helps his clients leverage existing customers more effectively and carry out marketing with limited resources.
Chris is especially interested in the art of copywriting – knowing what can grab the attention of an audience; make them take action and the nuances of language that can make a huge difference to the bottom line.
Away from work Chris torments himself by following Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and the English cricket team.
Rachel Kendrick
Also The Guv'nor
Rachel Kenrick – also the Owner
Started my working life as a journalist and went on to be Editor of market-leading titles in the business to business sector, including The Probe, a newspaper for dental professionals.
In 2000 I set up PR etc, with the focus on providing a public relations environment which delivered real value for both customers and publications. By working jointly with clients and the relevant editorial teams, PR etc. ensured that its clients maximized their promotional opportunities and their money – backing up their advertising and marketing spend with a controlled, pro-active, public relations campaign.
We moved our family to Brisbane in 2012, from where I continued to provide an uninterrupted PR service to an established international client and freelance editorial contributions to a couple of UK-based publications.
And now, here’s Practice Builder . . .
Samantha Shoults
Social Media Womble and Administrator
After many years working for Stock Aitken & Waterman as a backing singer for the likes of Sonia, Girl Talk and Roland Rat I turned my attention to my true passion, horses.
Long and dull stints in the retail and hospitality industries made me realise I didn’t really like people and so role in law enforcement seemed like a good idea. It wasn’t. It became obvious that the only way I was going to be able to get decent job was if I lied on my CV.
Now here I am eight years later. I’m not sure what it is I actually do but I know I’m pretty good at it. My overwhelming dislike of the dental industry gives me the insight Corona Dental clients need to engage with their patients who, let’s be honest aren’t really keen on them. I’m skilled in not only the art of looking busy but of also stressing about things I’m not actually doing, a skill few people have mastered.
Rob Wyborn
Pixel-Pusher
Rob has been involved with graphics since you needed to put paint on a brush. As an experienced Pixel-Pusher Rob gets to work on the graphic design and web requirements of Corona clients.
At the weekend, Rob can be found with his band around Bristol, playing songs that most have people have forgotten they didn’t like the first time around.
Rob Staerck
Web designer & developer
Rob Staerck (not the one from GOT) started his career as a freelancer back in ‘96 whilst still studying for an NDD in Graphic Design at KIAD (Kent Institute of Art & Design) now the University for the Creative Arts.
With several job offers on the table, Rob decided to try full-time work instead of pursuing a degree in design.
The late nineties were mainly spent designing marketing collateral for the financial sector, typesetting for local papers and editorial design. Highlights in this period included designing several publications including STR (Stationery Trade Review), the Queen’s Award magazine and being the designer for a wide range of industry publications including ‘The Probe’ and ‘The Hygienist’.
It was in the noughties that things really ramped up for Rob. Wanting to be involved in a broader range of design projects, Rob started his first company and started dabbling in programming for websites and the early mobile web languages like WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).
Fast forward almost 20 years, multiple businesses, associations & fix positions later, and you’ll now mostly find Rob developing responsive, dynamic websites, web-based applications and generally tinkering with scripts and managing clients online facade.
Away from work, Rob is an avid cyclist, motorsport enthusiast, loves the outdoor life and camping.
As a classic VW enthusiast, over the years Rob has restored a few Bugs and a campervan as well as teaching himself how to weld and rebuild engines.
Along with his partner Helen, he is a devoted father of two young boys.
